Highly Effective ABA therapy that fits the need of each individual
HELP AT HOME & IN THE COMMUNITY
Home and community-based ABA services are a type of therapy that is provided in the individual’s natural environment, such as their home or community settings. This approach allows for therapy to be more easily incorporated into the individual’s daily routine, and it can also provide opportunities to practice skills in real-life situations.
Home-based IBHS ABA services typically involve a trained therapist who works directly with the individual and their family members in their home. The therapist will create a customized treatment plan based on the individual’s needs, which may include goals related to communication, social skills, daily living skills, and behavior management.
The therapist will use techniques such as positive reinforcement, prompting, and shaping to teach new skills and modify behaviors. They will also collect data on the individual’s progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
Community-based IBHS ABA services involve taking therapy outside of the home and into community settings, such as parks, stores, or restaurants. This type of therapy allows individuals to practice skills in real-life situations and can help them generalize the skills they have learned in therapy to other settings.
They may be provided by a therapist or a behavior technician, and may include activities such as practicing social skills in a group setting, learning to navigate public transportation, or shopping for groceries.
Overall, home and community-based IBHS ABA services can be a highly effective form of therapy for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. By providing therapy in the individual’s natural environment, it can be easier to generalize skills and behaviors to everyday life.

Empowering and working together with the parents and caregivers allows treatment to be more effective at supporting their child’s development and behavior.
